Team Kakashi and Team Gai return back home to Konoha. As Kakashi rests in the infirmary, Sakura tells the 5th Hokage about what Sasori told her before he died, as a reward for defeating him. He had a meeting with his spy from Orochimaru's hide-out in 10 days. 4 days have passed since Sakura was told this, and now Naruto and Sakura need to setup a new team to go and investigate. Naruto runs around Konoha meeting some of his friends whom he promptly asks to help him and join his new squad. Just as Chouji agrees to help; Shikamaru, Chouji and Naruto are attacked by an unknown Konoha shinobi(Sai).
