Asuma collapses, mortally wounded. Shortly thereafter Ino, Chouji, Aoba and Raido appear as the team's backup. They are unable to defeat the Akatsuki members, but the Akatsuki Leader orders the two back to seal the Two Tails. Hidan and Kakuzu retreat, warning the group that they will return. Ino tries to treat Asuma, but fails, as Hidan's attacks had damaged vital organs. Asuma leaves advice for his students, mentioning that he now knows who the "king" that the ninjas Konoha must protect it. As he smokes a final cigarette, he dies of his injuries.

I’m a tad annoyed with people leaving comments about this being a “boring” or “pointless” episode. A main character just snuffed it, folks, it was all about his last words to Ino, Choji, and Shikamaru, which, contrary to what some people think, is fairly important. This is why I personally love the Naruto series. It’s capable of a wide spectrum of emotions and each character, no matter how minor, has his/her own personality and quirks. Personally, I’m going to miss Asuma. I always liked him for his collected manner and patience, how he never got all worked up and always seemed to take things with a sense of humor. Can’t wait to see Shikamaru and the others bring down Hidan and Kakuzu.

I have been reading alot of posts, and i’m not one to do any posts on any site at all but alot of people who make stupid comments that certain episodes are boring. yes some a a bit drawn out but they have significance to the story line and the mood the story is creating. I feel bad that some of you may have never wrote a good story or even read enough……

This episode was pointless. Perhaps thats why it came on time. I look forward to more action-packed episodes. Not imagery-driven pointless re-run/flashback episodes like this one. This is still a pretty good series. But more episodes like that one would just put it in the dumps. Peace.

I like the fact that we’re getting to see more about other people than Naruto. It’s a whole fricken ninja village, after all. It’s nice to see the others in action ever now and again. Plus he’s training; how boring would an entire episode of Naruto screwing up a jutsu be? Pretty boring, if you asked me. And knowing Naruto, he’s going to screw it up… a lot. Over and over and over.

Besides, judging from the fansites ect, Naruto’s not the only popular person on the show. Even Asuma has fansites dedicated to him, so I feel it’s good of Kishimoto to give everyone some time.

no matter what i like it!!! im getting frustrated when naruto try his new power..and didnt work!!..i like the part he loss his temper n turn into the mini kyubi..and then yamato stop him..waaah…this is getting excited! but i like his courage n spirit! he never give up!! but in this episode,its also about team 10..so its good to know about them too..:)..anyway! this contain spoiler..warning2..although Naruto havent pro with his new rasengan..but at the end he use it n he killed kakuzu with it..!!!yeah!!!

That episode was so dramatic and absolutely touching.
I adored Asuma, but I guess killing him off would be important to the plot, so I boo and applaud for Kishimoto.

Pein is not Minato, Pein is not Minato, Pein’s real name is Yahiko and he was a apprentice to Jiraiya who was thought to be deceased but apparently is trying to make a super demon of the nine jinchurriki.
Also Kushina is absolutely not Konan. They have no simalarities whatsoever. Kushina is presumed dead but I think that she’s in cognito.

about Danzou..its true danzou killed the frog..but i dont think he had something to do with Akatsuki’s invasion.
Akatsuki try to find Naruto..
but Danzou..he killed the frog because = he didnt want Akatsuki to stop destroying konoha while searching for naruto..for example,if the frog is still alive,then,the frog will bring naruto back.
when they know where Naruto is.i bet the Akatsuki stop destroying Konoha..and focus getting Naruto..and then they have to fight him…
i think thats why he killed the frog and said “now the nine tailed fox is out of the way”..:) ja,keep ths coming!:)

i already read the latest episodes in onemanga.com and this episode is too far from it…

the most exciting part of the latest episode ( 421 ) is, naruto’s gotten stronger because he already learn the “sage mode” fighting style similar to perve hermit…

Pein’s attacking KONOHA in search of him, and the 5th is ordering the messenger frog to call back naruto…

however, DANZO killed the messenger from, and there’s no way for them to reach naruto…the next episode will expose what will happen…

I saw the video thru veoh and comparing it with magazine reading, I find it more interesting to read…however, i am still looking forward for the video version…

choji and his dad helped kakashi, but im starting to believe that madara/tobi is really just using the body of danzou…so many similarities.

if u noticed when tobi took off his mask he had wrinkles on his face, danzou covers up his right eye which is the same eye tobi looks through, maybe its that just that eye has the sharingan…we wont know for a while
also if madara was really that ultimate…you’d think that maybe it was pain who transfered his body into him or sumthing who knows. i doubt it is, but we can always speculate till we find out =P

i dont think Uchiha mandara are using Danzou body… well i refer the manga already..and i cant find the similarities..well Danzou really old and he’s working root of konoha..anbu.he is Sai’s leader..well i dont remember what he is called..but i just call him as the leader of the root organization..and Uchiha mandara is at Akatsuki..looking very active. he can escaped from deidara explosive but danzou once got caught by the anbu team..so..i guess its impossible they are the same..
that’s my opinion..i have so much to write but this is all i can go..tired! this is my opinion..hope u dont mind i ask ppl about this..and again there’s no right or wrong answer about this,
